As a vital, preventative measure in high-risk neighborhoods, it is important to provide programs, activities, and support for children during after-school hours. The Excelsior After School Program impacts over 200 students throughout the school year. It includes choices of dance, film production and theater, art, podcasting, music production, songwriting, and more. All classes and workshops are facilitated by instructors who are professionally trained in their respective fields. Our program offers classes four days a week after school from 3pm-5pm. In addition, snacks and beverages are provided. It also includes peer counseling, special needs support and behavioral therapy for students with behavioral issues and autism.
